For the past 23 years, Disability Resources Incorporated has continued its original mission to
provide residential care and vocational training to developmentally disabled individuals in a
Christian environment.
DRI was founded in 1987 by two families who recognized the need for residential and vocation
training programs for disabled adults. We began with one group home and a pickled quail egg
vocational program. Through the tenacity and hard work of our families, board of directors,
and other supporters, DRI has experienced tremendous growth in the last 23 years. DRI is now
made up of a 170 acre campus with a vocational center, activity center, administrative offices
and group homes. Today, we have 52 “folks” in our residential and vocational programs and we
produce and manufacture seven products under our own DRI “Down Right Incredible” label, as
well as high-quality chocolate candies. We also produce food products and soaps and lotions
for other companies.

Celebrate Texas Independence Day with THE Texas Outlaws & Legends of Texas Country Music!
This 2nd Annual Outlaws and Legends Music Fest promises to be even more exciting that the inaugural one, held March 3, 2012.
The 2nd Annual Outlaws and Legends Music Fest will be held at The Abilene Speedway (6825 W Hwy 80, Abilene TX, 79605) at the Big Country Chevy Dealers Stage and kicked off with more than 10 artists performing an unplugged acoustic song-swap show on Friday, March 2, 2012 for a Texas Independence Day showcase, followed by “The Biggest 1-Day, 1-Day Event in Texas” on March 3, 2012. Gates open at 5:00p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012 and will close Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 12:00 noon. There will be up to 24 vendors on-site, 58 Tailgate Spots and 325 RV Spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. VIP/Backstage Passes will also be available for purchase (limit 100).
A couple of Nashville artists will also join the lineup this year, but each with deep roots in Texas. Disability Resources, Inc. will once again be the benefactor of Outlaws and Legends. Backporch Productions, LLC in conjunction with The Lucky Mule and Big .Note Studio will be hosting a series of “Singer/Songwriter Showcases” at the Lucky Mule for various singer/songwriters to enter for a chance to win a spot in the Outlaws and Legends lineup and 5-hours of studio time at Big Note Studio.
