Want YOUR band to earn the right to perform on "The Biggest 1-Stage Event in Texas"?    We are proud to host a series of "Songwriter Competition" preliminary events in Abilene for those wanting their chance to perform live in front of several thousand at our festival.

How to Enter:
Fill out the below form and check the box for which competition you wish to enter.  You will be contacted by a representative with the time and details for your performance.  (Limit 16 contestants per preliminary event.)

How to Win:
One (1) winner per preliminary competition will be selected.  You will be judged on (1) song quality and (2) creativity by professional judges in the music industry.  The third component is (3) crowd response, determined by the crowd...SO BRING YOUR FANS AND FRIENDS!  Each contestant is allowed 1 side or lead player on stage with them.  2 ORIGINAL songs are allowed during the prelims and the finals.  Each winner of the preliminary competitions will perform at THE FINALS and Preview Party (with special guests) at Heff's on February 19th.  The winner of the FINALS will be selected that night by the same criteria.  

What You Win:
The winner of the finals will receive: (1) Billing and a 30 min. full-band set on the main stage at Outlaws & Legends Music Festival- Saturday, March 26, 2022, (2) The ability to sell merchandise in the merch hut alongside all other artists, (3) VIP tickets for the band at the fest, and (4) 10 general weekend passes for their fans for the fest!
